I was born and grew in Srirangam. Venu (R Venugopal), my father (now immortal) and Anasuya, my mother (now immortal) gave me all the care and comfort along with disciplined dosages of affection.I studied my elementary in Saraswathi School in West Chitra Street. I started early in life an interest in philosophy and religion.Sri Ramakrishna, Ramana, Ayn Rand,Aristotle, Sri Ramanuja, Sri Aurobindo, Mother are deep and abiding interests in my conceptual exploration. And all said I am a poet.And I like the poetry and personality of Thiruloga Sitaram(a poet in tamil). My father was a doyen of amateur drama associated with Prof.C.S.Kamalapathi. Vedic studies inspired by Sri Aurobindo, Max Muller and enriched by modern researchers like Jan Gonda remain one of my continued interests. Sangam Tamil poetry and subsequent richness of Tamil absorb my interest and thinking. Philosophical schools of the World, Poetics world over form my growing interests.
